Memorize Luther’s Evening prayer:   “I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have graciously kept me this day. Forgive me all my sins and graciously keep me this night.  Into your hands I commend my body and soul and all things.  Let your holy angel be with me, that the wicked foe may have no power over me. Amen”

8^th Commandment: You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

 Know these KEY TERMS:

Holy = to be morally perfect, to be without any sin (Holy is what God is, and what he expects us to be.)

Sin = to miss the mark               Transgression = crossing the forbidden line (another word for “sin”)

Iniquity =  failing to measure up perfectly

Angels: spirit messengers which guard us for God.

The Devil: condemned leader of rebellious angels  "The Liar"

Satan:   other name for the devil, means "The Accuser"
